Jeffrey R. Neulon passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2024. He is predeceased by his wife Deborah Neulon, his father Robert H. Neulon, and his mother Mildred F. Neulon, his father and mother-in-law, Curtiss and Evelyn Schermerhorn.
Jeff is survived by his son, Justin Neulon with whom he was very close. He leaves behind three sisters, Sally Shuck, Sandra Strickland and Carol Trepa. He also leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Diane Brown, nieces Diane Trepa, Lisa (Steve) Leo, Jennifer (Jonathon) Gottschall, nephews Scott Sherman, Brad Strickland, Kal Strickland, great nieces Alayna and Aria, great nephews Dominic and Luca. He leaves behind several cousins, including David Charles Campbell (Charles), with whom he remained close. He is also survived by his Uncle and Aunt John and Fay Frey of Bentonville, AR.
Jeff graduated from Chenango Valley in 1974. After graduation he attended the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. He also was in officer candidate school, stationed in Newport, RI. Jeff had a dual Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Binghamton. He was employed at Universal Instruments for several years, after settling down with his family. Whether within the armed forces, an office, or simply a household task, he delivered the most honest effort. He had an exemplary work ethic.
In later years, above all, Jeff was protective of his family and friends. He developed a deep spiritual relationship with God. He aided anyone who needed it. He was never more fulfilled than when he was helping others, be it a relative, a companion, an acquaintance or even a stranger. He gave such guidance to many individuals during the last years of his life, including Michele, Amy, Graci, Carol P., Al, Jimmy, Tommy, as well as countless others. He cared deeply for all those he helped.
