Classmates,
Holland America canceled the date of our Class Cruise because our ship, the ms Nieuw Statendam, has been chartered for those dates. After discussing our options, we believe staying with the newest ship in Holland America’s fleet, the ms Nieuw Statendan, is the best solution. Therefore, we have chosen the departure date of March 1, 2020, from Fort Lauderdale on the Statendan. Our itinerary will remain the same including port calls at Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; Falmouth, Jamaica; Georgetown, Cayman Islands; and, Cozumel, Mexico, before returning to Fort Lauderdale on March 8, 2020.
Our cruise consultant, Ian Phares, will attempt to rebook us all into the same accommodations we currently have. If Ian is unable to book your same accommodation, he will call you. Ian will then send you an email with information on your updated confirmation and on the Shipboard Credit (SBC) that will be applied to the new booking as outlined in the Holland America email we all received. This Shipboard Credit will be based on the stateroom category booked.
If you are unable to rebook for these dates, please drop an email to Ian at this address, iphares@hollandamerica.com, and he will assist in your refund.
Ian is out of the office the first part of this week taking care of family business. He will begin to work our re-accommodations later this week.
For those that have not signed up yet, please give Ian a week or so to sort out our rebookings and then give him a call. We will keep you updated as we make these changes and reorganize our shipboard get-togethers.
Fair winds…
