Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends,
These are challenging times. We know most of you are safely at home focused on your loved ones, your communities and staying healthy. The Naval Academy is likely far from your mind during this pandemic, but we are writing to our loyal alumni and donors in the event there is anything we can do to help you in this time. We’d love to continue to hear from you and engage with you as best we can.
I’m sure you might be asking how we can help or even how you can help. Here are a few ideas:
• Community is as important now as it has ever been. Reach out to your local chapter to connect with other grads or parents in your area.
• Career services opportunities are available through the Alumni Association for those in need or those who can help… the Service Academy Career Conference is being held virtually on 16-17 April and we also have the Alumni Mentoring Program
• Support local businesses in your community, especially those owned or run by USNA grads.
• Connect with us. It’s hard to keep up with the news these days, if you’d like to engage with us and the Academy, there are plenty of ways we can provide engaging and entertaining ways to connect with the Naval Academy. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and be sure to check out the upcoming issues of WaveTops and Shipmate.
In the coming weeks, we hope that we can begin to share new and creative ways for you to continue to engage with the Naval Academy. We realize this spring will look much different than any other in Annapolis and hope we can use this time to celebrate all the incredible things the Brigade and the Academy continue to do during these trying times.
Sincerely,
