Today, 10 October 2018, marks the 173rd anniversary of the Naval Academy’s founding. As we reflect on the Academy’s history and traditions and our part in its legacy, we also celebrate our connection to this great institution, our fellow alumni and the Naval Academy family. Please join us in celebrating your connection to the United States Naval Academy with this look back at moments in Naval Academy—and Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation—history.
This fall, we marked a moment that is already a milestone in its own right: the launch of Called to Serve, Daring to Lead: The Naval Academy Campaign. This $400 million initiative supports every one of the Academy’s strategic priorities and virtually every aspect of midshipman moral, mental and physical preparation.
The funds raised through this campaign will help steer the Academy into its next 173 years and solidify its place in history, connecting us to the bright futures of midshipmen who will fight on fronts we have never experienced. We thank you for your support to date and look forward to continuing to make history together.
Happy Founder’s Day, and …
Go Navy! Go Marine Corps!
