Leroy Bramlett was born Wednesday, January 16, 1957 to Louis Bramlett and Willie Mae Bramlett in Lauderdale County, MS.
He was a 1974 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School in Meridian, MS. He was accepted into the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD where he graduated with the rank of Lieutenant in the United Stated Navy in 1978. He served in the United States Navy until he received an Honorable Discharge in 1982.
He became employed with Rolls Royce as Assistant Chief Project Engineer in IN, Indiana from 1984 until his demise with 33 years of employment service. He was an Engineer on the first AE 3007 airplane engine to be tested. Although Leroy never married or had children of his own, he loved providing for his sisters, brothers, and also his now deceased two beloved aunts (Pearlie Mae Little and Annie Pearl Sumrall).
Mr. Bramlett, age 60, departed his earthly life on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. His father, Louis Bramlett; mother, Willie Mae Bramlett; three siblings ” two brothers Milton Lee Bramlett and Andrew Lee Bramlett; and one sister Bobbie Jean Gowdy, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: eleven siblings ” four sisters, Janie (Leroy) Webb and Clarisee Clayton, both of Lauderdale, MS; Annie (Robert) Stoutamire and Archie Mae Richardson, both of McClenny, FL; seven brothers, Eugene (Grady B.) Bramlett of Chicago, IL; Spencer James Bramlett of Milwaukee, WI; Ernest Lynn Bramlett, David Lee Bramlett, James Bramlett, David Louis Bramlett, and Willie D. Bramlett, all of Lauderdale, MS; one uncle, B.C. (Vickie) Lard of Birmingham, AL; five aunts, Georgia B. Lard and Emma Lard both of Birmingham, AL; Betty Lard of Bellamy, AL; Ola Mae Lard of Rock Island, IL; and Nancy Lard of Moultrie, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends including his Rolls Royce Family in Indianapolis, IN.
