Team Otoshi-san,
I recently asked our brother Dennis if his boots and coat were good enough for the winter weather. He said that they were getting more rain than snow and that he was okay.
I posted an update to the GoFundMe site on New Year’s Eve, but haven’t sent it to you yet. I am asking you (and tasking you, please) to pass it on to your company-mates.
Please remind them that our brother Dennis Otoshi is 68 years old and just celebrated Christmas and New Years 6,139 miles from his home in SF/Oakland, CA. We should have many, many more than 157 contributions at this point. Dennis chose Nova Ukraine as our charity to support because it is U.S. based, he has worked with them in-country, and has been impressed by their work.
In full disclosure to my partners in this effort, I have pushed our giving goal up $10,000 due to inflation, , and also so we can focus on a target further downrange. I know the donations encourage Dennis and is one small reminder that WE appreciate his courage and sacrifices.
I lead with Dennis’s Lucky Bag 1978 year book photo, in case he owes you money and because the GoFundMe site cuts off a lot of the photo I posted:
Just one more note, if anyone wants to donate they should click on this link because a lot of the following is a copy and may not work.

Greg,
January 1, 2025 made its entrance and Russia sent 111 drones towards Ukraine with some of those hitting Kyiv in the early morning yesterday. Two prominent scientists were killed and seven injured in the capitol. Here is a video of the Red Cross first aid station that same evening. I am making soup for one of the evacuees and the firefighters. It was a very long day.

Thanks Greg and Happy New Year’s! Two air raids so far on Dec. 31st. One at 0256 this morning with 2 explosions and another at 0730, with one explosion. Emergency response has not been called out, so they must have been the result of successful interceptions.
Who knows what 2025 will bring, but I am ready.

Dennis,
I recently got a $1,978 donation, a $1,000 donation and a $500 donation on
our Nova Ukraine site in a very short time.
Know that your classmates are all proud of you, but like most Americans,
we are all overwhelmed with the day to day and tend to forget those on the cutting edge.
You are remembered and will be honored by us for the rest of our lives.
Respectfully,
Greg
