Dear ’78 Brothers,
As you may recall, on Nov 10th, we lost to cancer our ’78 brother, Jim “Muttley” Buckley (29th Co). As a Marine, he wanted to make it to the birthday of our beloved Corps. He did. Now, we will see him to his final resting place.
Jim’s sister, Sharon Polites, has informed me that funeral arrangements are finalized. Jim will be inurned at the Naval Academy’s Columbarium on Hospital Point on July 24th at 10:30 a.m. Please join Sharon, Jim’s dad, the rest of his family, classmates, and friends as we say our final goodbyes.
Please also join all afterward for a luncheon buffet reception and celebration of Muttley’s life and to pass to his family any memories or sea stories you may recall of Jim. The reception will at the Naval Academy Club [“O’Club”] starting at 11:15 a.m. If you can attend, please let 29th Company Rep, Brett Ayotte (ayottekb@gmail.com, or me (v19b78@yahoo.com) know by 14 July so we can help Sharon with a rough count of reception attendees.
Launchin’ Spot Four,
Vince
