Classmates — I hope this finds you well and looking forward to attending the 45th Reunion if your schedules allow; I hope to see you there — the Reunion Committee has done a great job to make this one very special.
By now, you should have received an email from the Election Committee announcing a change to the Class Board voting process, to include an extended time window and with all the candidates summary/qualification statements attached. I am one of the candidates running for re-election as a Class Trustee. I hope you had a chance to read my statement of my guarantee of continued commitment to your best interests as a Trustee; I don’t intend to repeat that here.
Along with the above changes, the Election Committee is allowing us to reachout to you individually via the Class mailing list. As such, I want to take the opportunity to reinforce my commitment to you as a Trustee. For my past three terms as a Trustee I have genuinely and vigorously looked out for the broader interests of the Class; always willing to present the Board with alternatives and options that I view are in our best interest.
As my summary notes, Mary and I live in Annapolis, we are sponsors and have had seven members of our families graduate from USNA — we know the school, we keep current on what is happening. We sponsor several Midshipman, from Plebes the Second Class — I feel I am able to have the benefit of the perspectives of both the past and future as I form positions on Class issues that are brought to the Board.
In summary, I take my role as a Class Trustee very seriously, and each time I have been re-elected, I felt very honored by your faith in me and my representation of you.
When you vote, please consider voting for me as one of your Trustees — I won’t disappoint you with your choice.
Thank you for your time.
Bob
