This is last call for nominations for the election of all Class Officers. Nominations close on July 31, 2023. If you are interested in running for a position, or you want to nominate a classmate for a position, please contact our Nominating and Elections Committee Chairman, Brett Ayotte (ayottekb@gmail.com) or one of our other committee members, Glen Ives (gives13@gmail.com) or Bill Burke (billburke78@yahoo.com). All positions are up for election: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and five Members-at-Large. Qualifications to serve as a class officer require a candidate to be a graduate member of the Class and a life member of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association. The qualifications and duties of our Class Officers, as well as, the procedures for nominating classmates and voting are outlined in our Class Bylaws which you can read on our class website (www.usna1978.org).
Once the nomination period ends, the nominating committee will determine the eligibility of the nominees and their willingness to serve.
Voting for Class Officers will begin on September 21, 2023, and will close on October 5, 2023. We will promulgate instructions on how to vote in early September, and the results of the voting will be announced at the Class meeting during our Class Reunion in October.
