Although access was limited to family members with cemetery passes due to the pandemic, Diane and I were able to complete our annual pilgrimage to ANC to lay wreaths on the gravesites of my dad (Col Gerard O’Keefe, USMCR(Ret)) and grandfather (BG Benjamin Sullivan, USANG). Also toasted my dad’s 93rd birthday with a splash of Jameson’s. 3d US Infantry/The Old Guard will complete laying wreaths throughout the cemetery this coming week. Always a humbling experience to be among so many true heroes who came before us. May the Good Lord continue to bless them all during this special season, as well as all those currently wearing the cloth of our Nation and their families. S/F
