Vinny DiGirolamo (26th Co.) recently visited the Hill Aerospace Museum in Roy, Utah, and came upon the T-28B Trojan. Vinny said “I learned how to fly in the T-28B and later carrier qualified in the T-28C with a tailhook. Those were the days – no apparent fear of death. The LSO gave me my call sign, 6 Gee Geronimo (or 6 Gee) for breaking three airplanes with hard landings in three days. 300 traps and 11 aircraft carriers later- no regrets, only great memories. Both the T-28 and I are museum pieces now.”
