On Friday, Oct 18th, John Kurowski (11th Co) was inducted with his old teammates from the ’73 Hollywood Hills High School State 4A Championship Football Team into this year’s Broward County Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL .John and his teammates were joined in this honor by the other 2024 inductees Elliot Bonner (former football and baseball coach in Broward County), Darius Butler (sports personality and former NFL cornerback and safety), Abbas Karimi (swimmer and paralympic athlete), Diana Nyad (long-distance swimmer, author, journalist and motivational speaker), Steve Shapiro (former WSVN sports anchor) and Lexi Thompson (professional golfer on the LPGA tour).
