Request for Support from Brad “JB” Richardson (14th Co.)

Classmates,

Yesterday I received a note from our classmate, Brad “JB” Richardson (14th CO), with a request of support from our ’78 brothers. His son, George Richardson, developed at the age of 15 a rare kidney disease called IgA Nephropathy (Berger Disease). Over the past 16 years, George’s disease has progressed and unfortunately, he has now entered end-stage renal failure. There is no cure for IgAN, and George now needs a kidney transplant.  Unfortunately, all possible living donors from JB’s and George’s immediate family have been disqualified as donors.

Below is a link that explains more about George, his condition, and how to be a donor. JB is simply asking us to spread the word to our church and prayer groups, work and social groups, family and friends or to any group or person you think might know how to help George get a possible donor. If someone is willing to donate a kidney in George’s name that would help elevate George’s name on the national waiting list. Your support would be greatly appreciated by our brother, JB, and his family.

Here is the link that explains George’s condition and how someone could be a donor.

Please keep George, JB and his family in your prayers.

Fair winds…
